Box Tech is back! Box Tech is a style that can be easily applied to any static prop, especially two-handed props, including but not limited to: fans, double staff, and mini hoops. So bring any or all of them! This class is for beginner and intermediate box techies, who have either taken the first class or are at least intermediate spinners. Tippy will review content from the January class at the beginning of the workshop. No matter what level you are at, you will add something completely new and thought-provoking to your current style from this class

Class will begin with a review of beginner box tech, and will end with a jam session for students!

Tricks students will learn:

About Your Instructor

Tippy has been performing and teaching flow arts since 2010, when she was gifted her first homemade hula hoop from her best friend. Since then, she has celebrated her passion for fire and flow arts all over the world, including but not limited to: Burning Man in Nevada, the Flow Show in New York City, Ozora in Hungary, Psy-Fi in Holland, and Afrikaburn in South Africa. While the hula hoop will always be her first love, her style and interests have grown substantially with the incorporation of contact staff, double staff, and fire fans. She loves to seamlessly integrate a soulful dance style with intricate tech—especially box tech. When she’s not hurling props wildly around her body, she is a teacher, a writer, and a world-traveler. To follow her fantastical adventures abroad and at home, you can find her on Instagram at @to_be_tippy To Be Tippy or on her Facebook page, To Be Tippy.
