SpinCo Founder to Speak at "Art Around the World" at Whitemarsh Art Center

Come listen to Kelsey Lee, SpinCo's founder and president of the board, speak at Whitemarsh Art Center's "Art Around the World" March lecture.

The "Art Around the World" lecture series is a lively forum for the exchange of ideas among speakers, students, teachers and the public. The series provides a space for exhibitions, performances and conversations addressing inter-cultural exchanges between artists and performers. Presenters will discuss how traveling and the experience of other lands, cultural patterns and aesthetic traditions have impacted their artistic work and empowered them as individuals.

Kelsey will be discussing why she started SpinCo and how the world-wide network of traveling and hosting performers lead to the growth of the movement art community. She will be joined by Chris Tamburro, a multi-talented performance artist and teacher. He practices juggling, fire eating, hooping and the Maori art of poi spinning, which led to his joining Spark Circus in 2016 and 2017. He has toured throughout Thailand teaching circus arts to Burmese refugees, orphans and at-risk youth.
